Masher man synonymous with crocodiles? Oops, sorry for crocodile. Because according to recent studies, the crocodile justri monogamous, at least a majority of them. During the 10-year study conducted at the Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge in Louisian, proving that 70% of female crocodiles always choose the same partner each time mating season arrives. Though they had plenty of opportunities to choose a new partner.

"We are surprised and not expecting to find the same pair of crocodile who married in 1997 and still remain in pairs until the year 2005," said Stacey Lance, researchers from the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, who led the research.
If true crocodiles embrace monogamy, then they go monogamus animal category, in addition to the bonobo, the nation primates such as humans, as well as sea lions.
Studies conducted Lance involves tracking and analyzing the female alligator groups of DNA in their mating season. Of the 10 female crocodiles, seven of whom returned in the same mating pairs from 1997 to 2005.
Together with their mating patterns of mating behavior of species of birds, is seasonal. Crocodile species are descended from reptiles archosaurus, a group of ancient reptiles that also gave birth to a bird species. Evolutionary relationship gives scientists a unique opportunity to understand the similarity in the pattern of mating season, both in birds and dinosaurs.
In this study, the combination of molecular techniques with a number of other studies allow us to discover new things about a previously unknown species.
