in High School Student use Phone as learning tool

The students at a secondary school in Wesley Chapel, Florida suburbs, United States (U.S.), began to leave the conventional way of learning. They switched to learning by using mobile phone facilities.
For instance in Spanish language classes at Wiregrass Ranch High School. A teacher, Ariana Leonard, asked the students out a mobile phone each.

"Take out your mobile phone," Leonard said in Spanish. Adolescent children were then issued various types of mobile phones different colors, ranging from a flip phone model, iPhones, and SideKicks.
Students then divided into several groups, and Leonard sending short messages (SMS) in Spanish. Eg 'Find an object is green' or 'Go to the cafeteria' or as' Berfotolah with the school secretary.
Wiregrass Ranch High School tried to leave the traditional policy of the prohibition to use the telephone, and synergize the phone into the lessons at school. Note lessons copied using camera phones and SMS messages are used as reminders of homework.

"I can use my mobile phone to a lot of things, why can not I use it for learning purposes?" Said Leonard, as quoted from Cellular News, November 30, 2009. "Give them something (mobile device) which they used every day to have fun, and provide another way to learn outside the classroom with that device," he continued.
According to a survey by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, 71 percent of teens have cell phones in early 2008. The percentage was relatively stable regardless of factors of race, income, or demographic. While many new schools have low technology compared to homes equipped with Internet network and a smartphone for each family member.
Jimbo Lamb, professor of mathematics at the Cleona School District, Pennsylvania, makes the students have to use a cell phone to answer questions that he display in a poll on the internet.
With time short, Lamb could know how many students understand the lessons he gave. "This is a technology that helps us more productive," said Lamb.
