Pentagon Train the Employees to be 'a Hacker'

During the year 2009, recorded almost 45,000 computer attacks on the U.S. Department of Defense.
Strengthen the existing computer networks in the environment, the United States Department of Defense at the Pentagon is now training its human resources to hack its own network.

According to Jay Bavisi, President of the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants, or EC-Council, to be against the forces of hackers out there, its human resources have to think like them. "Therefore, we give them training to become certified hackers," he said as quoted by Secure VIVAnews Obs, Jakarta, Monday, March 15, 2010.
For information, EC-Council is one of the authorized companies selected by the Pentagon to oversee the training of workers of the United States Department of Defense related to computer security. When finished, the workers will be entitled to an official certificate and a certified hackers.
"With the certification, the workers are expected to maintain the network from the threat of hackers, not just a hacker," said Lt. Col. Eric Butterbaugh as the U.S. Department of Defense spokesman.
Known, throughout the year 2009, recorded almost 45,000 computer attacks on the U.S. Department of Defense. In fact, attacks against DoD computer networks are expected to increase up 60 percent
until the end of 2010. As a result, the Pentagon lost $ 100 million U.S. dollars.
Bavisi said the training was focused on the art of hack, using the equipment and the same tricks used by hackers conventional. "The main concept, the Department of Defense employees are welcome to use the training to hack into the department computer network," said Bavisi.
"So, when they found a security hole (bugs) that can be used to attack. They will improve safety at that point, eliminating the threat," he said.
