Breastfeeding may reduce Stomach Fat

Not just for babies, breast-feeding also has benefits for mothers. The results of recent research reveals that breastfeeding can mengikus belly fat in the mother until many years later.
Research presented at the American Heart Association conference found that middle aged women who never breastfeed exclusively has a slimmer waist circumference of about 2.6 inches than women who never breast-feeding.
"My stomach is the best part of the body as a place of unhealthy fat accumulated. Breastfeed exclusively to erode the layer of fat on this body," said Candace McClure, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pittsburgh.
Research conducted on 351 women mean age 50 years who participated in the Women's Health Across the Nation Heart Study in 2001-2003. All the respondents had given birth about 19 years ago with the number of children an average of two people.
Breastfeeding can reduce the risk of heart disease during menopause. Therefore, excess abdominal fat is a trigger factor for heart disease in women at menopause. In addition, breastfeeding can decrease your risk of type 2 diabetes, breast cancer, ovarian cancer and postpartum depression.
As for, the benefits of breastfeeding infants have multiple and well known. According to the U.S. Department of Health, breast milk intake reduce the risk of ear infections, asthma, stomach problems, respiratory disease, skin allergies, diabetes and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
